June 3, 1895 Theodor Herzl

What are 10 million marks to the Jews? They are surely richer than the French were in 1871, and how many Jews were among them? As a matter of fact, we could, if need be, set forth with even one billion. For it will be working capital, the foundation for our future railroads, emigration-fleet and navy. With it, we shall build houses, palaces, working men's homes, schools, theaters, museums, government buildings, prisons, hospitals, asylums - in short , cities - and make the country so fertile that it will have earned its title of the Promised Land.

Note: at the time of this diary entry, Theodor Herzl had no idea which land belonging to people of color he and his European Ashkenazi tribe were contemplating of stealing, always with the help of the Major Powers of the day! Always!
