My tribute to Carlos Latuff

Three words to describe Carlos Latuff: I LIKE HIM! Thus explains why I have taken the time to assemble his cartoons on my blog. Posting his newest cartoons going forward will be very easy; going backwards and finding his older cartoons not so easy. I am still determined to find as many of his prior cartoons as possible and continue updating the Latuff link on my blog.
I recently read a few of his interviews and what comes across is an individual who is so giving, so aware of human suffering, so brave and not afraid of the consequences of his very amazing political cartoons, specially considering the fact that quite a few of his cartoons are on behalf of the besieged Palestinians and against the predatory and White supremacist colonial-settler so-called 'state', so-called 'Israel'. His cartoons are breathtaking to watch! A picture is indeed worth a thousand words and a look at any of his cartoons is a story that needs no captions and it tells its own story splendidly. One cannot learn to create the cartoons that Latuff creates that easily. He is just gifted in that department. As I observe his cartoons, I am often awestruck by his ingenuity and creativity. This is a gift he was born with and we are lucky that he shares that amazing gift with us - and free of charge. There is another reason why I have been taken by him of late. The more I read and learn about him via his interviews and cartoons, the more I am reminded of Che Guevara, who also gave up so much of his life for the benefit of humanity. Latuff in fact does make references to Guevara. Guevara would be so proud of Latuff, and Latuff apparently holds Guevara in high esteem.
