Why you must read Haaretz

Haaretz enjoys far and wide name recognition which in my opinion is highly overrated and undeserved. Their articles are usually short and their analysis half-way done. But they do attempt to speak where the American/European reporters would not dare. I much prefer the Jewish Forward. I have often been impressed with the level of candor and the depth of their analysis. Therefore, I shall be presenting to you via this blog the 'Jewish Forward' articles in the near future.

Here is a great example : In 2007, two French Jews bought plane tickets and traveled to Palestine with one and only one mission in mind: To lure an Arab and slit his throat. Mission accomplished! They lured a Palestinian Taxi driver and cut his throat. That story never appeared in any of the American newspapers. NOT ONE! Imagine if Arabs had traveled to a place where Jews live in large numbers such New York for the sole purpose of killing a Jew. The headlines of such killings would never have been allowed to die. I did save all the images and all the stories - few as they were - and I will in the very near future present that story to you. Incidentally, the French Jew who killed the Arab was recently found innocent on grounds of mental instability. Yea, right! imagine an Arab being let go after killing a Jew on some psycho babble.

That story did appear at Haaretz and most likely at the Jewish Forward. Let me also share a secret with you. The Jewish papers such as Haaretz and the Forward do know who their readers are! Can you guess? You guessed it! Jews! Therefore, for now they can afford to be upfront and report matters with relative candor. But let the readership shift in the direction of the gentile and in a blink of an eye, both Haaretz and Forward would have to change their reporting styles dramatically. One word to keep in mind about both groups Haarertz and The Forward is: Zionist. They are Zionists to the core and telling the truth regarding Palestine does not serve them well if the readers are gentiles whose opinions could be swayed towards the vanquished if they have within their reach access to information.
