Sarkozy pro zionist

RABAT (AFP)---A Moroccan newspaper branded French president Nicolas Sarkozy as a "pro-Zionist" and deeply criticized his statements on Wednesday during the annual dinner of CRIF, the umbrella body of France’s Jewry.

"The Zionist face of the French president came more to light when he spoke about the 60th birthday of the creation of the Zionist entity on the land of Palestine annexed by force, terror, murder and expulsion," 'Al Adala Wa Tanmia', the newspaper of the Islamic Party Justice and Development (PJD) writes on Friday.

PJD is the main opposition political party in the Moroccan parliament.

"That's true, I am the friend of Israel”, Sarkozy told the CRIF dinner on Wednesday, adding that the 60th birthday of the creation of the state of Israel “is an event whose importance has to be underlined.”

Sarkozy also declared that he "would not shake the hand with those who refuse to recognize the state of Israel."

Speaking of the "alleged Holocaust of the Jewish people" during WWII, the newspaper added: "Sarkozy has to know that the list of those who do not like to shake hand with him contains more than a billion people."
