TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said preventing division is the only comprehensive way to confront enemies' strategy.

Speaking in the 37th Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) ministerial meeting Wednesday in Tajikistan, he said, "preventing division among countries and keeping solidarity is the only comprehensive way to confront enemies' strategy."

He also added Islamic countries need to confront dominant paradigms in political and security associations such as veto-wielding power and try to create a democratic and fair order in the world.

Mottaki then pointed out to Zionist regime's continuous crimes against Palestinians and said, the regime's measures near al-Aqsa mosque seek annihilation of cultural and Islamic heritage of Palestine.

He called for the OIC to stand against continuous aggressions of Israel against the mosque.

Iranian Chief of Diplomacy criticized the UAE Foreign Minister's remarks on three Iranian islands during the meeting and said, "we believe that Islamic countries should focus on their commonalities and settle disagreements through bilateral talks."

He added, "Iran is ready to remove any possible misunderstanding with the UAE based on 1971 Memorandum of Understanding and talks."

Leading a delegation, Mottaki left for Dushanbe Monday night.

The three-day meeting opened Tuesday in the presence of 57 delegates of the OIC member states.

Also foreign ministers of the OIC member states spoke in the session.

The meeting mainly focused on holy Quds, Middle East free of nuclear weapon, Somalia, Islamophobia and elevating women’s status.

Mottaki also met Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on the sidelines of OIC meeting.
