Norman Finkelstins is indeed a Zionist Jew

Monday, October 20, 2008

I would like to begin this post by quoting from a correspondence that I had with a great and true anti-Zionist Jew. Name withheld, because it serves no purpose to disclose it. This was an email to me in response to my criticism of Norman Finkelstein's emotional attachment to Palestine just like so many other Zionist Jews.

I agree absolutely with your criticisms of Norman Finkelstein. He is an unashamed Holocaust worshipper who never misses an opportunity to peddle his "child of Holocaust survivors" credentials. Also, it's worth noting that whenever the question of Holocaust revisionism (Holocaust denial if you like) comes up, Finkelstein habitually hits the roof and becomes quite abusive. As a 'Jewish left gatekeeper' he has extraordinary powers and has used them to ensure that people are derided, marginalized and kept in goal.

You're also right about his close following of the Chomsky line i.e. that it is America that is the main culprit and Israel simply does America's bidding. What both Professor Chomsky and Finkelstein fail to address is, even if that were true, America itself may be seen as a Jewish state. Of course it is not a Jewish state in the same way that Israel is, but to my mind, ideologically, emotionally, and even spiritually, America is Jewish controlled.

But on one point I disagree with you. For me, there is a world of difference between Chomsky and Finkelstein. Chomsky indeed is deeply emotionally attached to the notions of Zionism - Jewish suffering, Jewish redemption, Jewish messianism etc., but I don't think he has ever denied this. Finkelstein, on the other hand does deny it. Like so many Jewish ethnic activists, he pretends not to be what he is - a deeply ideological Jew.

I agree totally with what the great Jewish and truely anti-Zionist activist had to say above. Now I will proceed to address a message that was posted at Norman Finkelstein'a website in regards to my website, 'Ziomania.com'.

"On first impression Zio Mania appears as a website dedicated to the anti-Zionist struggle, but then loses me when they align themselves with the nonsensical arguments of Holocaust deniers as Lady Renouf."

My Response: What you see is what you get. My website is indeed dedicated to anti-Zionist struggle and also to exposing the pretentious 'anti-Zionist' Jews like Norman Finkelstein and his guru Noam Chomsky. Finkelstein would admit that he is indeed a Zionist only when pressed. Otherwise he rides on the fake public opinion that he is an anti-Zionist crusader. A Google search for [Norman Finkelstein + anti-Zionist] returned 191,000 hits. A similar Yahoo search returned 350,000 hits. That is indeed staggering and amazing how a falsehood repeated often enough appears to be true.

May I ask the writer of the letter to Finkelstein where he might have obtained the impression that I was aligned to the woman who goes by 'Lady Renouf'? It was in fact the first time ever that I came across the woman's name when I was watching the Youtube interview by the Lebanese TV personalities. It took me but a few seconds to categorize 'The Lady' as a Neo-Nazi and I was proven right when she started praising David Duke to high heaven. 'The Lady' was introduced as a 'human rights activist' and my immediate response was that the human being whose rights she defends has got to be of a 'white persuasion'. It was not hard at all to reach at that conclusion by her mannerisms and the way she spoke, which portrayed her to be from a privileged class, very aristocratic. But that does not take away from the fact that she did in fact hold her own, and her arguements were very convincing. Finkelstein on the other hand seemed to be near tears. He asked the lady where could his family members be if they had not perished in the 'holocaust'. His question was odd for many reasons. (a) he expected the lady and by extension all of humanity to know the exact whereabouts of Finkesltein's extended family (b) his sarcasm when he asked her if she thought they were in Siberia was certainly unbecoming a professor who is expected to be in control. He seemed to have been overcome with emotion over his loss of his family during ww2.

The expression of 'holocaust denier' is always a giveaway of one who has been sufficiently prepped and brainwashed by the Holocaust Industry. What does it really mean? Does it mean one who expresses doubt as to the number of Jews dead during ww2? Why do we even have the expression 'holocaust' in regards to Jews deaths only when we can include all human beings and just call it ww2 deaths! That would account for all deaths, wouldn't it? But 'the Chosen' deaths could not be co-mingled with ordinary human beings.

I would also like to express my utmost dismay at the Iranian President for holding such conferences. It is a total waste of time, energy and resources. The Jews' holocaust occurred in Europe at the hands of Europeans. Whether six million or one million Jews died should not have given European Jewry to stampede towards Palestine not as refugees but as the new colonial masters of the Arabs. We all know what happens to people who find themselves under peril. They all scatter in all directions in search of immediate refuge. The best recent example were the Katrina victims in the Southern part of the United States. No one came forward and offered them a land or a state of their own. The European Ashkenazi Jews who stampeded towards Palestine were in pursuit of the gold rush, a golden opportunity at colonizing the Arabs before they (the Arabs) had had a chance to take control of their land and their destines.

The writer of the letter also expressed his dismay with 'Abu' who wrote an email to Finkelstein in effect introducing to Finkelstein many of my articles posted at my site. Those articles have been online for over a year, in all likelihood without Finkelstein's awareness until 'Abu' brought them to his attention. I do agree that using vile language serves no purpose whatsoever except to shed the user of such language in bad light. Incidentally, I wrote to 'Abu' as I was curious to know how he came about to know about my website and what caused him to express so much obvious anger at Norman Finkelstein. I never received a reply back.

The writer of that email posed a few questions to Norman Finkelstein as follows.
Finkelstein has not responded as of yet.

  1. My immediate response was why the Palestinians had to suffer for the injustices that the Germans inflicted upon the Ashkenazi Jews?
  2. Norman, do you personally think the partition was a fair decision, given that many Palestinians were forced to abandon their homes.
  3. do you think the Palestinians' Right to Return can ever become a reality for a sizable minority of Palestinians---given that the majority of the homes of first generation Palestinians presently are occupied by Israeli Jews?
  4. Specifically in question is the Palestinians' right to return to their homes and villages in Israel not only to the UN designated Palestinians lands of the West Bank and Gaza.

I may like to ask one very important question of the Dr. Finkelstein. He stated in one of his interviews regarding his mentor and guru Noam Comsky the following:

"Regarding his personal character traits the most outstanding is that he (Chomsky) is absolutely faithful, which is something very few people possess... Professor Chomsky will never betray you, never, it is impossible."

Would Chomsky agree to debate people such as Jeff Blankfort, Rashid Khalidi, Hatem Bazian? Of course not! He is more than glad to debate one of his own such as Dershowitz. What a joke! Does Chomsky really take all of us for fools? Why won't he debate those mentioned? The answer is because they would bust open his real issues which are sacred and intimate to him such as his lust for Palestine.
