YouTube, the ADL and Censorship

There are a few videos on this video list that detail the headaches that I had to deal with when I used to archive my videos at YouTube. When YouTube announced that the ADL was invited to be those who decide what is kosher and what is not, I knew that my videos did not have much a chance on YouTube. I was proven correct. I was given two strikes and I was aware that three strikes and you are out. Therefore, I stayed out so that I would not be stricken for the third time. YouTube did send me a message asking that I acknowledge receiving the second strike, there was no such request for the first strike. I did nothing, meaning that I did not acknowledge their silly request. Therefore, my account remains in limbo, I can't sign in and give them an excuse to give me a third strike which would then delete the account. Let's hope that my account at YouTube stays as is. But it has not remained as is. The ADL people are sniffing around YouTube and slashing away at videos not complimentary towards Jewry. They have also placed age restriction on many of my videos, meaning that a person has to have a YouTube account and be singed in and confirm to be above the age of 18. Most people do not have YouTube accounts and even when they do, they don't feel like signing in and would simply skip over such video that is restricted. The goal is to minimize the number of people who would have access to that vicdeo that the ADL worries about.

Yahoo video is no comparison for YouTube. One of my videos that had over 20,000 views by the time it was deleted at YouTube had less than a hundred at Yahoo during the same period of time. That is why Abe Foxman is not meddling with Yahoo video for now, that is, he is keeping his eyes on it and if it does get lots of viewers, then heavy duty censorship would be imposed on Yahoo video as well.

Some words of advice: Anyone who posts videos on YouTube must make sure to keep backups of what they post. Since YouTube deletes viceos for no reason at all and without any noticer, you won't even know if a certan video had gone missing and if you had not retained a copy, then you will have lost something that perhaps could have meant a lot to you.
